MBA students in Krakow - 2014

"Theory, Practice and International Experiences at Marketing Course, December 14, 2013" - On December 14, 2013 students of Marketing course had a chance to listen to lectures of 2 international guests:

- prof. Johannes Haas, FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences, Graz, Austria: his lecture was devoted to concept of sustainability in marketing and consumer expectation including examples from successful strategies in Austria (Zotter Chocolate, Gosser Beer and some other selected products and strategies (Hofer, Billa, Spar) and effort by farmers.
- Ing. Alexander Frech, PhD, MBA Executive participant, former general director of Baumax Austria, senior vice-president Branch Network Sales, Austrian Post, Austria- he talked about his motivation to increase his managerial education and skills and study at MBA Executive program including some examples from his managerial practice related to practical marketing in retailing and latest trends in this industry.

Besides international speakers, day full of lectures and discussions started with the lecture and presentation of prof. Horska on International marketing strategies and consumer behaviour and thematic testing of locally and internationally recognized products and brands resulting from successful global or local marketing strategies (including examples from Visegrad countries and emerging markets as well, supported by thoughts and definition of renowned books and and experts).

"Defense of Final MBA Projects, September 2013" - Defense of Final MBA projects took place on 6th and 7th September 2013. There were 17 MBA students from Slovakia, Taiwan, Libanon and Spain who were evaluated by an international committee headed by the rector of SUA Dr.h.c.prof.Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD. and vice-rector for International and Public Relations of SUA prof. Dr. Ing. Elena Horská. International part of the board was represented by associate professor Elena Kovtun from the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences in Kiev (Ukraine) and prof. David McKenzie from Scottish Rural College in Aberdeen, Scotland. The other member of the committe was a Head of the Office of Life-long Learning Mgr. Ing. Danka Moravčíková, PhD and practice was represented by Ing. Peter Oremus, PhD.

"Lecture and Seminar on Internationalisation and Marketing Strategies in Retailing" - Lecture and Seminar on Internationalisation and Marketing Strategies in Retailing with Managing Director of BAUMAX Austria Dipl. Ing. Alexander Frech, PhD.

"MBA Degree Awarding Ceremony, 26th October 2012" - MBA Graduates of 2012 were awarded by MBA degree by rector of SUA Dr.h.c.prof.Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD. on 26th October 2012 in the Ceremony Hall of Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra.

"Opening of the MBA I, academic year 2012/2013" - First year MBA students started MBA program „Agribusiness and Commerce“ on 19th October , 2012. Rector of SUA Dr.h.c.prof.Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD. welcomed 14 new MBA students and gave them the Letters of Acceptance. Mgr.Ing. Danka Moravčíková, PhD. presented the interesting information about the Slovak Agriculture University, Faculty of Economics and Management as well as MBA program. Students were greeted also by PaedDr. Irena Felixová, who informed students about MBA study and courses. First year of MBA program started with Marketing course.

"Defense of Final MBA Projects, October 2012" - Defense of Final MBA projects took place on 5th and 6th October 2012. There were 16 MBA students who were evaluated by an international committee headed by the rector of SUA Dr.h.c.prof.Ing. Peter Bielik, PhD. and vice-rector for International and Public Relations of SUA prof. Dr. Ing. Elena Horská. International part of the board was represented by prof. Edward Majewski from Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), Poland and prof. David McKenzie from Agricultural College in Aberdeen, Scotland. The other members of the committe were the teachers of FEM, prof.Ing. Mária Kadlečíková,CSc., Dimuth Nambuge, MA and practice was represented by Ing. Peter Oremus, PhD.

Hungary Excursion, 30st-31st March 2012 - Within the MBA Study Program was organised a study excursion to Hungary. On the 30th March 2012 students visited FAO in Budapest (Food and Agriculture Organization, Sub-regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe). Two representatives of FAO, Mr.Michal Demes and Mr. Wilfried Baudoin, were talking about the aim and activities of this organisation. On 31st March 2012 students visited Szent Istvan University in Gödöllö in Hungary.
