WebMerge is now Formstacks Documents
The Formstack Documents ( WebMerge ) add-on needs to be installed and activated to see the features mentioned in this documentation. The Ninja Forms Formstack Documents ( WebMerge ) add-on is an integration that connects your forms to Formstack Documents Ninja Form Integration, a third-party service. An active subscription with their service is required to use this add-on.
Connecting Ninja Forms and Formstack Documents ( WebMerge )
First, connect your Ninja Forms installation with your Formstack Documents ( WebMerge ) account.
In your Formstack Documents ( WebMerge) account, click your portrait and go to “API Access”.
On this new page, if you have not already done so, click “New API Key”
Name your key “Ninja Forms” or something else you will be able to remember.
Copy your “Key” and “Secret” from your newly created API key…you will need both of these to set up Ninja Forms below.
In Ninja Forms, go to Forms > Settings, and at the bottom, you will see a section to input your API Key and API.
Setting up Ninja Forms to send data to Formstack Documents ( WebMerge )
You will need to create a document through Formstack Documents ( WebMerge ) that contains Merge Fields.
This documentation from Formstack Documents ( WebMerge ) should help you understand how to use their Merge Fields.
In the form builder, open your “Emails and Actions” menu and click “Add New Action.”
Choose the WebMerge Action
Choose your WebMerge ( now Formstack Documents ) Document from the list drop-down.
If the document does not appear, press the blue refresh arrow next to the List title.
Under the “LIST FIELD MAPPING” section, use the insert merge tag button to select the fields from your Ninja Form that you would like sent to the corresponding WebMerge ( now Formstack Documents ) Fields.
You should now be set up to have WebMerge ( now Formstack Documents ) create a document using the submission data from Ninja Forms.
