Johan Kristoffersson continued his FIA World Rallycross Championship fightback at Benelux World RX of Spa-Francorchamps, recording a second consecutive triumph as Andreas Bakkerud was crowned FIA European Rallycross Champion.

The World Motor Sport Council convened today for the third meeting of 2021. The meeting was hosted in Paris by FIA President Jean Todt with FIA Deputy President for Sport Graham Stoker and WMSC members in attendance and those joining by video conference from around the world.

The Formula 1 Grand Prix de France has become the first Grand Prix organiser to receive the highest level of environmental certification from the FIA. By granting this accreditation, the FIA recognises the environmental performance of the Formula 1 Grand Prix de France and its commitment to an ambitious sustainable development approach.

The second phase of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission’s innovative talent detection and nurturing programme is set to start next week (October 21-27) when the selected young racers from around the globe convene at the Circuit Paul Ricard for the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars shoot-out and training camp.

On 16 April, on the occasion of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, the FIA-JCDecaux #3500LIVES Global Road Safety Campaign gathered further momentum with the launch of a new visual. Bringing together FIA Formula 1 Racing Driver Mick Schumacher and 2020 UCI Road World Champion Julian Alaphilippe, this new campaign asset aims to raise awareness of the need to share the road between different types of road users.

On 20 October 2021, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise their cooperation on the digitalisation of the Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD) Distribution System.
