The U.S. Senate’s Subcommittee on the Constitution recently called on Hans von Spakovsky, a senior legal fellow in Heritage’s Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, to testify on the Voting Rights Act.    

The U.S. House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis recently called on Heritage Foundation research fellow Joel Griffith to testify on the constitutionality and possible ripple effects of COVID-19 eviction moratoriums. 

A U.S. Senate Committee recently called on Heritage Foundation research fellow Rachel Greszler to testify on unemployment insurance and fraud in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In recent testimony before the U.S. House Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security, Heritage Foundation research fellow Kara Frederick warned lawmakers that facial recognition technology is vulnerable to misuse and portends a slippery slope to mass surveillance. She offered several recommendations to keep the risk of misuse in America low.
