The Olympic Spirit: Fostering Peace in and through Sport

The Olympic Games are far more than a sports competition. They involve human rights and express key values such as tolerance and excellence. These are central to UNESCO's mission to foster the best in our shared humanity – a mission that we share with several of our partners, including the Olympic Museum.

UNESCO presents new initiatives, exhibitions and reports to underscore these rights and values, on the occasion of Paris 2024.
