V tomto průzkumu se mohou komunity editorů dohodnout, na čem bude tým Community Tech pracovat během příštího roku. Neváhejte přidat svůj nápad nejpozději do 23. ledna, případně připomínkovat a vylepšit návrhy ostatních editorů.

Komunity budou o návrzích hlasovat od 28. ledna do 11. února.

Výzva ke zpětné vazbě: Volby do správní rady jsou nyní otevřeny a budou ukončeny 7. února 2022.

Tým pro strategii a řízení hnutí se v této výzvě ke zpětné vazbě snaží o jiný přístup. Tento přístup zahrnuje zpětnou vazbu od komunity z roku 2021. Místo toho, aby výzva začínala návrhy, je formulována na základě klíčových otázek, formulovaných Správní radou. Ty vzešly ze zpětné vazby k volbám do Správní rady v roce 2021. Záměrem je podnítit o těchto klíčových otázkách společnou konverzaci a na jejich základě společnou tvorbu návrhů.

Hello everyone,

The Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees released a statement on the ratification process for the Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) Enforcement Guidelines.

The Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) provides a baseline of acceptable behavior for the entire movement. The UCoC and the Enforcement Guidelines were written by volunteer-staff drafting committees following community consultations.

The revised guidelines were published 24 January 2022 as a proposed way to apply the policy across the movement. There is a list of changes made to the guidelines after the enforcement draft guidelines review. Comments about the guidelines can be shared on the Enforcement Guidelines talk page on Meta-wiki.

To help to understand the guidelines and process, the Movement Strategy and Governance (MSG) team will be hosting Conversation Hours on 4 February 2022 at 15:00 UTC, 25 February 2022 at 12:00 UTC, and 4 March 2022 at 15:00 UTC. Join the conversation hours to speak with the UCoC project team and drafting committee members about the updated guidelines and voting process.

The timeline is available on Meta-wiki. The voting period is March 7 to 21. All eligible voters will have an opportunity to support or oppose the adoption of the Enforcement guidelines, and share why. See the voting information page for more details.

Many participants from across the movement have provided valuable input in these ongoing conversations. The UCoC and MSG teams want to thank the Drafting Committee and the community members for their contributions to this process.

Samozrejme, zo záhadných dôvodov s insitným pokusom o anglický názov sekcie a anglický úvod, hoci pisateľ je Slovák a sme na skwiki. Ja neviem, pripadá mi to ako nekončiaci sa trolling alebo zábava ("už som sa dlho ničím nepripomenul, toto bude dobré"). Btw., odkazy na topviews sú jednak v zoznamoch nástrojov, dvak aj v ext.o. v čl. Slovenská Wikipédia. --Teslaton (diskusia) 19:05, 6. február 2022 (UTC)

Súťaž Ukrajinský mesiac kultúrnej diplomacie 2022 (17. 2. – 17. 3. 2022)

Rád by som redaktorov upozornil na súťaž Ukrajinský mesiac kultúrnej diplomacie 2022, ktorá sa začne 17. februára (00:01 UTC) a potrvá do 17. marca 2022 (23:59 UTC).

Súťaž organizuje Wikimedia Ukrajina v spolupráci s Ukrajinským inštitútom (en, uk) a Ministerstvom zahraničných vecí Ukrajiny (en, uk) s cieľom skvalitniť obsah Wikipédie týkajúci sa ukrajinskej kultúry. Spočíva v písaní nových a zlepšovaní už existujúcich článkov na Wikipédii, ako aj položiek na Wikidátach, pričom sa rátajú príspevky na akejkoľvek jazykovej verzii Wikipédie. Several improvements around templates

Hello, from March 9, several improvements around templates will become available on your wiki:

• Fundamental improvements of the VisualEditor template dialog (1, 2),
• Improvements to make it easier to put a template on a page (3) (for the template dialogs in VisualEditor, 2010 Wikitext and New Wikitext Mode),
• and improvements in the syntax highlighting extension CodeMirror (4, 5) (which is available on wikis with writing direction left-to-right).

All these changes are part of the “Templates” project by WMDE Technical Wishes. We hope they will help you in your work, and we would love to hear your feedback on the talk pages of these projects.

Pomoc Ukrajine (ale aj utláčaným Rusom) v súvislosti s vojnou na Ukrajine

Chcel by som dať do pozornosti túto centrálnu stránku na Meta-Wiki, ktorú vytvorila Wikimedia Foundation s cieľom prehľadne informovať o prebiehajúcich iniciatívach v súvislosti s vojnou na Ukrajine. Nižšie uvádzam rozpis aktivít, ktoré začalo vyvíjať wikimedické hnutie a kde veľmi privítam účasť našej wikipedickej komunity.

WikiProjekt Vojna na Ukrajine

Wikiprojekt Vojna na Ukrajine bol založený po vzore wikiprojektu o covide, pričom i na koordináciu práce na článkoch o aktuálne prebiehajúcej invázii a s tým súvisiacich témach. Cieľom je samozrejme pridávať aktuálne encyklopedické informácie založené na spoľahlivých zdrojoch a podávané z nestranného uhla pohľadu. Myslím, že vzhľadom na prebiehajúce dezinformačné kampane a na „vojnovú hmlu“ je to nanajvýš potrebný a šľachetný cieľ.

V prípade záujmu je možné redaktorom zúčastneným na tomto projekte vybaviť bezplatný prístup k obsahu slovenských médií, za ktorý je za iných okolností potrebné platiť. (Zároveň upozorňujem na projekt The Wikipedia Library, prostredníctvom ktorého možno bezplatne získať prístup k množstvu kvalitných databáz a zdrojov, napr. aj k renomovanému časopisu o medzinárodnej politike Foreign Affairs.)

Ukrajinský mesiac kultúrnej diplomacie 2022

Naďalej prebieha súťaž v písaní článkov a prispievaní do Wikidát Ukrajinský mesiac kultúrnej diplomacie 2022 (stránka na Meta-Wiki). Súťaž organizujú naši kolegovia z Wikimedie Ukrajina. Odporúčam zapojiť sa, hoc len symbolicky.

Záchrana ukrajinského kultúrneho dedičstva

Naprieč wikimedickým hnutím prebieha iniciatíva záchrany ukrajinského kultúrneho dedičstva v online priestore, ktorá si kladie za cieľ zhromaždiť dáta a multimediálny obsah týkajúci sa ukrajinských pamiatok a iných artefaktov kultúrneho dedičstva (bohužiaľ o viaceré z hmotných pamiatok sme už vo vojne prišli). V tomto projekte sa uplatnia aj redaktori so širším technickým zázemím (napr. kvôli web scrappingu).

Ruskí wikipedisti tiež potrebujú našu pomoc

Okrem Ukrajincov sú v ohrození aj členovia ruskej wikimedickej komunity. Na nich síce nedopadajú bomby, no silne opresívny režim im čoraz viac znemožňuje objektívne písať o vojne a s tým súvisiacim dianím. Preto sa ku mne dostala výzva, aby sa ľudia so znalosťou ruštiny podieľali na písaní článkov na ruskej Wikipédii, pretože našim ruským kolegom za takéto niečo môže hroziť dokonca až trestný postih. (Ruskú Wikipédiu zatiaľ režim nezakázal, tak dúfajme, že tomu tak ostane aj naďalej.)--Lišiak_(diskusia) 21:35, 9. marec 2022 (UTC)

K wikiprojektu „Vojna na Ukrajine“. Veľmi krátky časový odstup, absencia akademických zdrojov a skutočnosť, že prvou obeťou vo vojne je pravda, mi zabraňujú veriť, že je tento projekt dobrý nápad. Články čerpajú (prevažne/výhrane?) z novín/agentúr (čo ešte nejaký čas aj bude trvať) a to mi na projekt o téme pride nedostatočné. Vasiľ (diskusia) 08:51, 11. marec 2022 (UTC)

@Vasiľ: Nie je to tak úplne pravda, že chýbajú akademické zdroje, nakoľko vojna trvá už od roku 2014, tohoročná invázia je skôr len jej vyeskalovanie než nový konflikt, na čo beriem ohľad v skladbe článkov zapojených do toho projektu. Z tohto hľadiska kvalitné aj odborné zdroje existujú (napr. GALEOTTI, Mark. Armies of Russia's War in Ukraine. 1.. vyd. Oxford : Osprey Publishing, 2019. 64 s. Dostupné online. ISBN 978-1-4728-3344-0. ).

Spoľahlivosť informácií je v stave „vojnovej hmly“ samozrejme vždy problém, preto postupne pridávam odporúčané zdroje (a aj tie „menej odporúčané“ s dôvetkom, že ich možno použiť orientačne, no nemožno z nich bezvýhradne čerpať). To, že informácia pochádza od média alebo spravodajskej agentúry predsa ešte neznamená, že je nespoľahlivá a aj vedecké monografie alebo štúdie o nedávnych udalostiach využívajú takéto zdroje. Treba brať ohľad na to, že na Wikipédii vždy vieme podať informácie kvázi bezpečnou formuláciou, napr. v článku o invázii píšem o začiatku útoku tak, že ten-ktorý zdroj (médium, štátny orgán) hlásil tie-ktoré útoky.

Nehnevaj sa Vasiľ ale to je taký postoj ako má jeden nemenovaný politológ a veta: „a skutočnosť, že prvou obeťou vo vojne je pravda" to len potvrdzuje. Chápem tvoju opatrnosť no nevidím v projekte Vojna na Ukrajine nič zlé. Rovnako ako v čase pandémie vznikol wikiprojekt Covid 19 alebo pri iných konfliktoch či už napr. Vojna o Náhorný Karabach etc., kde sa primárne čerpá z aktuálnych informácii novín či článkov. Navyše Šablóna:Prebiehajúci vojenský konflikt upozorňuje čitateľa na dynamiku a konfliktu a informácie, ktoré nemusia byť pravdivé či overené. Na druhej strane Wikipédia nie je knižná encyklopédia, aby sme sa pridŕžali časovému odstupu. Poskytuje nám možnosť, editovať súčasnú významnú situáciu, ktorú možno postupom času upraviť tak aby sa opierali o kvalitné zdroje.--Róbert Jahoda (diskusia) 11:30, 11. marec 2022 (UTC)

Veľmi krátky odstup a množstvo zmätočných informácií veľmi sťažujú vytváranie takýchto článkov. Súhrn agentúrnych správ a novinových článkov rozhodne ako zdroje pre heslo do encyklopédie nepostačujú. V takejto podobe je to projekt na wikinoviny, nie sem. Preto ho nepovažujem za užitočný. Vasiľ (diskusia) 09:22, 14. marec 2022 (UTC)

Na väčšinu tých pripomienok sú dostatočné protiargumenty vyššie, tak sa dotknem len dvoch bodov:

• Wikinoviny sú špecifický projekt, ktorý zhromažďuje vlastné novinárske prejavy (prechádzajúce redakčnou kontrolou), nie číra zbierka aktuálnych udalostí (porovnaj napr. tento článok na Wikipédii s týmto článkom na Wikinews). Tento názor „ak je to aktuálne, prehoďme to do Wikinovín“, ktorý tu často vídam po diskusiách, plynie z nepochopenia samotnej podstaty toho projektu a je kvalitatívne horší ako tvrdenie, že by sa mali položky rozlišovacích stránok prepisovať do Wikislovníka. Vidím podstatný rozdiel v tom, že RS články, ktoré časť editorov chce dať na wikislovník, encyklopédie obsahujú. Naproti tomu encyklopédie neobsahujú články, ktoré sú čerpané takmer výhradne z novín/agentúrnych správ. To sa však netýka len tohto projektu, tu sa to ale prejavuje obzvlášť výrazne. @Vasiľ: Současná válka má 100+ interwiki... Wikipedie je encyklopedie specifická a jedna z jejich výhod je reakce na aktuální události. Pokud bychom trvali na obsahu běžných encyklopedií, museli bychom smazat tisíce hesel např. ohledně jednotlivých MS v hokeji, ZOH atd. Otázkou ale je, jak se to pojme. Na cswiki se z toho megalomanstvím udělal nejdelší (!) článek projektu (nepočítám seznamy), a to válka trvá teprve 3 týdny... Důrazně si dovolím na tento problém upozornit i tady, aby článek nešel podobným směrem. Pozoruju také, že s postupujícím časem se podobná hesla stávají disproporční. U covidu si pamatuji to nadšení, když na cswiki zpočátku dělali i tabulky jednotlivých nakažených (i kde to chytli!). Na druhou stranu, když už pandemie vesměs opadla (resp. nezavíraly se školy, okresy), promítlo se to i do aktualizací. Pro encyklopedii je nicméně podstatné oboje, jak velké epidemie, tak náledný útlum... Takže pozor na to i v případě války, abychom teď nevybudovali megaheslo s podrobnostmi, které za padesát let nikoho nebudou zajímat, ale nějaké pozdější fáze konfliktu už zde třeba vlivem nezájmu nedali. -OJJ^✉ 11:06, 14. marec 2022 (UTC)

Stotožňujem sa s upozornením na potrebu udržať proporčnosť článku a relevantnosť podávaných informácií. Tento motív bol napokon jednou z pohnútok na vytvorenie projektu, nech to nie je tak „živelné“ (napr. toto si vyžaduje prečistenie aj v prípade, že sa to presunie do samostatného článku). Dtto. sa deje aj tu – najprv vždy tony marginálnych drobností, neskôr takmer nič. Celé články k takýmto udalostiam by bolo po určitom čase potrebné komplet prepracovať – nahradiť tie agentúrne vtákoviny normálnym výkladom podľa s odstupom času spravidla už dostupných serióznejších zdrojov; prípadne presunúť ich do nejakej samostatnej stránky s časovou osou (kde ale tiež nepatrí každý TV výrok a „medzinárodná reakcia“ 128. krajiny na druhej strane sveta), do toho sa už ale spravidla nikomu (kompetentnénmu) nechce, takže to bežne zostáva presne v takomto insitnom disproporčnom stave. Z tohoto dôvodu som tiež na pochybách, či tento prístup (ktorému aj v prípade ruskej agresie voči UA prenechávame voľný priebeh) nie je až priveľmi naivný na encyklopédiu, tzn., či by sme to nemali už v zárodku tvrdo redukovať. Problém je aj to, že neviem či tu (okrem snáď Pelexa; možno niekoho prehliadam) sú redaktori, schopní písať netriviálnejšie články o vojenských konfliktoch a vojenstve celkovo. --Teslaton (diskusia) 11:43, 14. marec 2022 (UTC)

Nepoviem, ak by šlo o nejaké exotické metriky alebo sofistikovane agregované pohľady, proste niečo s netriv. pridanou hodnotou, v prípade pageviews aj počtu čl. ale ide o triviálne, štandardne dostupné metriky v oficiálnych štatistikách. Načo rátať niečo štandardne definované, porovnateľné naprieč projektami spôsobom, dávajúcim odlišný výsledok, naviac ešte aj nestabilný v čase (hoci ide o historické údaje, výsledok takto definovaného pohľadu sa bude meniť s každým ďalším výmazom/presunom, tzn. ak to necháš zagregovať o pár mesiacov, čísla budú znova mierne odlišné). --Teslaton (diskusia) 21:10, 8. máj 2022 (UTC)

The Movement Strategy and Governance team is looking for community members to serve as election volunteers in the upcoming Board of Trustees election.

The idea of the Election Volunteer Program came up during the 2021 Wikimedia Board of Trustees Election. This program turned out to be successful. With the help of Election Volunteers we were able to increase outreach and participation in the election by 1,753 voters over 2017. Overall turnout was 10.13%, 1.1 percentage points more, and 214 wikis were represented in the election.

There were a total of 74 wikis that did not participate in 2017 that produced voters in the 2021 election. Can you help increase the participation even more?

Election volunteers will help in the following areas:

• Translate short messages and announce the ongoing election process in community channels
• Optional: Monitor community channels for community comments and questions

Volunteers should:

• Maintain the friendly space policy during conversations and events

Report on Voter Feedback from Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) Enforcement Guidelines Ratification

Hello all,

The Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC) project team has completed the analysis of the feedback accompanying the ratification vote on the Universal Code of Conduct Enforcement Guidelines.

Following the completion of the UCoC Enforcement Guidelines Draft in 2022, the guidelines were voted on by the Wikimedian community. Voters cast votes from 137 communities, with the top 9 communities being: English, German, French, Russian, Polish, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Italian Wikipedias, and Meta-wiki.

Those voting had the opportunity to provide comments on the contents of the Draft document. 658 participants left comments. 77% of the comments are written in English. Voters wrote comments in 24 languages with the largest numbers in English (508), German (34), Japanese (28), French (25), and Russian (12).

A report will be sent to the Revision Drafting Committee who will refine the enforcement guidelines based on the community feedback received from the recently concluded vote. Invitation to participate in the #WPWPCampaign 2022

Dear Wikimedians,

We are glad to inform you that the 2022 edition of Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos campaign is coming up in July.

This is a formal invitation to invite individuals and communities to join the campaign to help improve Wikipedia articles with photos and contextual images.

The campaign will run from July 1 to August 31, 2022 and several communities and Wikimedia Affiliates have already indicated interest to organize the campaign in their localities. Please find your community or community closer to you to participate: WPWP2022 Campaign: Participating Communities.

The campaign primarily aims to promote using images from Wikimedia Commons to enrich Wikipedia articles that are lacking them. Participants will choose among Wikipedia pages without photos, then add a suitable file from among the many thousands of photos in the Wikimedia Commons, especially those uploaded from thematic contests (Wiki Loves Africa, Wiki Loves Earth, Wiki Loves Folklore, etc.) over the years. In this third edition of the campaign, eligibility criteria have been revised based on feedback and campaign Evaluation Reports of the previous editions. Novinky – vylepšení pro desktop

Dobrý den. Rád bych vám předal nové informace o projektu vylepšeních pro desktop, na kterém nadace Wikimedia pracuje posledních několik let. Naše práce je téměř u konce! 🎉

Rádi bychom, aby se tyto vylepšení nasadila jako výchozí rozhraní pro čtenáře i editory na všech projektech. V nejbližších týdnech zahájíme na toto téma diskusi na více projektech, včetně toho vašeho. 🗓️ Rádi si přečteme vaši návrhy!

Cílem projektu je zajistit, aby rozhraní bylo pro čtenáře srozumitelnější, ale aby bylo i tak užitečné pro pokročilé uživatele. Projekt se skládá z několika vylepšení, které mimo jiné usnadňují čtení článku, navigaci uvnitř článku, vyhledávání dalších článků, přepínání mezi jednotlivými verzemi, používání záložek a uživatelského menu. Vylepšení jsou již nasazena jako výchozí na více než 30 projektech, včetně francouzské, portugalské a perské Wikipedie.

Změny se týkají pouze vzhledu Vector. Pokud používáte Monobook nebo Timeless, změny se vás netýkají.

Nejnovější funkce

• Obsah článku – k naší verzi se čtenář snáze dostane a snáze se může stránkou navigovat bez toho, aby musel scrollovat. Momentálně nový obsah testujeme na našich pilotních projektech. Funkce je také dostupná pro uživatele, kteří si zapnuli vzhled Vector 2022.
• Nástroje stránky – nyní jsou v menu dva typy odkazů Jsou zde akce a nástroje týkající se konkrétních stránek (například Související změny) a odkazy na stránky týkající se celé wiki (například Poslední změny). Rozdělíme tyto dva typy odkazů do dvou intuitivních menu.

Jak zapnout vylepšení?

Globálne nastavenia

• Vylepšení si můžete zapnout ručně ve svém nastavení na kartě Vzhled tím, že zvolíte „Vektor (2022)“. Je také možné funkce zapnout na všech projektech pomocí globálního nastavení.
• Na projektch, kde jsou změny nasazeny ve výchozím nastavení, se přihlášení uživatelé mohou vždy přepnout do původního Vectoru. Slouží pro to jednoduše použitelný odkaz v levém menu nového Vectoru.

Nový Vector: ukážka

Pre zaujímavosť, kto si chce nový vzhľad pozrieť bez nutnosti prepínať skiny v nastaveniach, otvorte si nasledovné odkazy každý na jednu záložku:

Za mňa teda, moc som nepochopil správanie na úzkych viewportoch – po zúžení pod nejakú hranicu (~700px) sa v novom skine samotný text článku zobrazí odsomrený až niekde hlboko pod obrovskou navigačnou sekciou, zaberajúcou v tom stave viac než celú jednu obrazovku. Čakal by som asi skôr niečo v duchu, že sa pri nedostatku šírky navigácia zbalí do nejakého rozbalovacieho menu a po príchode uvidím normálne začiatok článku (na druhej strane väčšina bežných návšetvníkov s tak úzkym VP zrejme pôjde cez mobilný režim, kam ich na mobiloch/tabletoch normálne naviguje aj Google). Nie je to pritom zrejme anomália v dôsledku kolízie s nejakým starým štýlovaním na tejto wiki, rovnako sa správa trebárs aj frwiki, kde je skin už nasadený. Ešteže Monobook nateraz nechávajú tak, bežný návštevník ale po nasadení uvidí tento nový Vector. --Teslaton (diskusia) 13:00, 21. jún 2022 (UTC)

Hej @Vasiľ. Mam nadzieję, że mnie zrozumiesz, kiedy napiszę po polsku, a nie po angielsku. Úzke rozhranie - tu są dwie sprawy:

1. tekst jest wąski, ponieważ dzięki temu lepiej się czyta, uczy i zapamiętuje. Więcej o tym możesz przeczytać na tej stronie (po angielsku)
2. po obu stronach tekstu chcemy umieścić menu (nástroje stránky), tak jak pokazuje ilustracja obok.

You have your sidebar un-collapsed (this is the default setting for logged-in users) and if you collapse it, it will stay collapsed. Then, the content will move up. Why is the sidebar so wide? Because dividing the width on that narrow screens wouldn't work, I presume. I can look for links on Phabricator with detailed explanation and discussions.

And above all, if you happen to be using Vector on mobile - Vector (the old one and the new one) is built for desktop. There's a separate tool - advanced mobile contributions - working on mobile browsers. If you're using Vector on mobile because some gadgets don't work with AMC, then probably these gadgets need some work. That's what my intuition tells me. Yes, you're right, I overlooked that there actually IS collapsible nav menu (which is collapsed by default for anonymous user, as I've checked in incog. session). @Jetam2, we are still working on it and we'll be improving it until more people agree to make it the default. We'd prefer avoiding a yes/no voting, and focusing on solving specific problems instead. And of course, as I mentioned in the announcement, it will always be possible to opt-out to the old Vector - just as it's possible to use the pre-Vector Monobook. I guess I will eventually get used to the weird location but the drop-down, IMHO, introduces time-wasting: I have to click and scroll to find a language rather than just see it. @Jetam2, you can also type the interwiki abbreviation (like sk for Slovak), hit enter, and it will work. The Movement Strategy Forum (MS Forum) is a multilingual collaborative space for all conversations about Movement Strategy implementation.

We are inviting all Movement participants to collaborate on the MS Forum. The goal of the forum is to build community collaboration, using an inclusive multilingual platform.

The Vector 2022 skin as the default in two weeks?

Hello. I'm writing on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation Web team. In two weeks, we would like to make the Vector 2022 skin the default on this wiki.

We have been working on it for the past three years. So far, it has been the default on more than 30 wikis, including sister projects, all accounting for more than 1 billion pageviews per month. On average 87% of active logged-in users of those wikis use Vector 2022.

It would become the default for all logged-out users, and also all logged-in users who currently use Vector legacy. Logged-in users can at any time switch to any other skins. No changes are expected for users of these skins.

About the skin

[Why is a change necessary] The current default skin meets the needs of the readers and editors as these were 13 years ago. Since then, new users have begun using Wikimedia projects. The old Vector doesn't meet their needs.

[Objective] The objective for the new skin is to make the interface more welcoming and comfortable for readers and useful for advanced users. It draws inspiration from previous requests, the Community Wishlist Surveys, and gadgets and scripts. The work helped our code follow the standards and improve all other skins. We reduced PHP code in Wikimedia deployed skins by 75%. The project has also focused on making it easier to support gadgets and use APIs.

[Changes and test results] The skin introduces a series of changes that improve readability and usability. The new skin does not remove any functionality currently available on the Vector skin.

• The sticky header makes it easier to find tools that editors use often. It decreases scrolling to the top of the page by 16%.
• The new table of contents makes it easier to navigate to different sections. Readers and editors jumped to different sections of the page 50% more than with the old table of contents. It also looks a bit different on talk pages.
• The new search bar is easier to find and makes it easier to find the correct search result from the list. This increased the amount of searches started by 30% on the wikis we tested on.
• The skin does not negatively affect pageviews, edit rates, or account creation. There is evidence of increases in pageviews and account creation across partner communities.

How can editors change and customize this skin?

It's possible to configure and personalize our changes. We support volunteers who create new gadgets and user scripts. Check out our repository for a list of currently available customizations, or add your own.
